  • COVID – 19 Coronavirus Information

We understand that you might be worried about coronavirus – also known as COVID-19 – and want you to know that we are still here to support you. For the latest information and advice from GOSH, please visit

We are working hard to make sure we can deliver safe care to children and young people who need it most urgently. This includes changing the way we run some of our services, from offering virtual appointments to reducing the need for you to travel around different areas of the hospital. If there are any big changes to your upcoming visit or appointment, your clinical team will be in touch to answer any questions or concerns you might have.

If you are scheduled to come to the hospital, as a precaution and for the safety of our patients, parents, carers and staff, we are limiting visitors to GOSH. We may also ask patients to be tested for COVID-19. For the latest information on our visiting and testing policies please check our FAQ at

GOSH is working with Public Health England and following NHS guidance to control risk from the virus. To find out what you can do to stop the virus from spreading, whether you’re out and about or visiting GOSH, check out

If you’re due to visit GOSH and you’re experiencing coronavirus symptoms, please call your clinical team for support before visiting the hospital. Do not go to your GP or pharmacist – stay indoors, avoid contact with others and visit the NHS 111 service at or call NHS 111 for urgent medical advice. However, if you are very worried, you should always call 999 or go to your local A&E or urgent care centre, as you normally would.
